Collision in Pickle Lake leads to multiple charges

Pickle Lake OPP has arrested and charged two individuals following a collision.

PICKLE LAKE – After responding to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 599 in the morning on Jan. 15, the OPP stated that they believe the driver was impaired by drugs.  

There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.

A 39-year-old from Thunder Bay has been arrested and charged with impaired driving, obstruction of a peace officer, personation with intent to avoid arrest, having cannabis readily available, having open liquor, and driving without a licence.

A 29-year-old individual from Sioux Lookout was also arrested and charged with having open liquor.

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in Sioux Lookout on Jan. 16.
