Collision in Dryden leads to impaired charge

A 21-year-old man was charged after an April 11 crash on Memorial Avenue.

DRYDEN — A motor vehicle collision in Dryden has led to the arrest of a motorist.

According to a release issued on Wednesday by Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a call for a collision on Memorial Avenue at about 9 p.m. on April 11.

As result of the investigation, it was determined one of the drivers involved had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

The driver was arrested and taken to the detachment for further testing.

A 21-year-old man from Dryden was charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs.

The accused was released from custody and is expected back in court in Dryden on March 26.
