KENORA — Like the many cities across Canada, Kenora has had to endure a pandemic which lasted over two years. Medical professionals are still asking everyone to be conscious of the fact that COVID-19 is still with us. But with vaccines available to all Canadians, and most restrictions lifted, the public is beginning to show signs of greater interest in outdoor activities for themselves and family members.
To help their residents get back into the summer activities season, Kenora Recreation Centre is kicking off its Adventures Summer Day Camp. It promises to be “eight weeks of summer fun!"
Registration begins Tuesday, May 17, at 8 a.m. and can all be done online. Outdoor fun, arts, sports, swimming, skating, community adventures and so much more is on the agenda for this summer camp. Spots are limited with room for only 24 participants so families, individuals and community members are asked to register early. Visit the city website to register and also access more information.
Kenora’s Recreation Centre shared that the summer adventures day camp will run from June 27, to Aug. 19, 2022. Drop off for participants is at 8:30 a.m. and pick up is at 4 p.m. at the Kenora Recreation Centre. Parents and/or guardians must sign in and sign out their child each day.
COVID protocols will be reviewed with parents before the session begins.
Parents, guardian and caregivers were assured that should any of these times not work for you, please contact us and we can make other arrangements.
