KENORA — Kenora's City Council, challenged its residents on Sunday to reflect upon an individual who they believe would be deserving of a nomination for their council’s “Citizen Recognition Award”.
Council described this award as a “once in a lifetime honour to Kenora citizen who have made an effort over their lifetime or a significant community event”. During that time that citizen must have demonstrated their ability to:
- Create a sense of home and belonging
- Exemplify a strong sense of volunteerism
- Display civic pride and commitment towards the betterment of all; or
- Other achievements, impacts, and contributions to the community
To nominate a deserving individual for this awards, residents are asked to complete their online nomination application at: https://www.kenora.ca/.../citizen-recognition-award.aspx
