City of Dryden with Ministry of Municipal Affairs hosting information session for fall election candidates

The city of Dryden in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs is offering information sessions for all candidates wishing to run in the fall Municipal and School Board elections.

DRYDEN—With Municipal and school board elections approaching soon, the city of Dryden is encouraging all candidates running for office, Fall 2022, to attend an information session.

The session is being hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs (MMA) and is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2022, City of Dryden Council Chambers, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Access to this information session is either in person, at 30 Van Horne Avenue, or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Attendees will be provided with information about topics such as: council staff relations and rules, candidate eligibility, campaign finance, campaign period, nomination process, candidate duties and responsibilities and third-party advertisers.

The sessions are free, but requires pre-registration by June 15, 2022. To register contact Allison Euler, City of Dryden, city clerk/returning officer, [email protected] or by calling (807)-223-1432. Attendees are asked that when registering to indicate if they are attending in person or virtually.

MMA’s presentation will be followed by a “question and answer” period. The municipality also informs candidates that questions regarding the session can be directed to their local clerk’s office.
