DRYDEN -- The City of Dryden is reminding residents not to feed the deer within city limits.
City officials say if not done properly, feeding wildlife can pose risks to the deer population.
Feeding wildlife also poses several safety risks to the residents of Dryden.
If a deer relies on artificial food sources all winter long, it can change the digestive system to a point where the deer will not be able to digest normally found food in the wild, which could lead to starvation.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is working to help the deer heard this year through approved feeding programs in the area.
