IGNACE — A truck driver from Alberta faces charges after an incident on Highway 17 in the Ignace area.

OPP investigated following a collision Sunday evening in Bradshaw Township.

Police said the wheel of a transport truck separated, then collided with another tractor-trailer unit.

Nobody was injured.

A 34-year-old Calgary resident is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving a commercial vehicle with a part detached, and driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect in it or in a trailer.

The owner of the transport truck was also charged.
