Candidates running for municipal office in Kenora face nomination day

The province of Ontario's fall election is closer than many may think. Residents of Kenora were informed that today is the launch of Nomination Day, and candidates wishing to run for municipal office should file their nomination papers.

KENORA — It’s Nomination Day for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election in Kenora.

Candidates wishing to run for mayor, city councillor, or school board trustee, should make an appointment to file nomination paperwork with the city clerk.

Candidates are reminded that nominations close on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022.
