DRYDEN—Building Safety Month is winding down with one final message. The theme for this final week is “Build Energy Efficient.”
The key message of the final week initiative is, “Making sure our homes and buildings are sustainable is key to the future of Ontario’s communities.”
Information shared regarding the final week’s focus to build energy-efficient highlights key benefits that include:
- Cost less money to heat and cool
- Contribute to a cleaner environment
- Allow for better quality air in homes through energy-efficient systems like HRV
- Can support energy programs like Passive House and Net Zero Energy, which set standards at or above Ontario’s Building Code.
With the Month of May being declared Building Safety Month, communities were provided with a unique and important focus each week. This being the final week, reminds builders, construction companies, organizations and individuals that sharing and building this knowledge also helps build community.
