Border clearance services resume at several NW Ontario small airports

Services were curtailed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

OTTAWA — The Canada Border Services Agency is resuming border services at select airports across the country.

Operations will be restarted in stages in May at 47 airports affected by temporary measures that were imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These locations include Thunder Bay, Kenora and Fort Frances.

In Thunder Bay, border clearance services resume on May 2 at the Lakehead Aviation seaplane base on Shipyard Road, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., seven days a week.

At Fort Frances Airport, services resume from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Services also start up again on May 2 at the Rainy Lake Sports CanOp dock from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Kenora, border clearance services will resume on May 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

On the same day, services also resume at the Kenora City Dock from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
