RED LAKE — Some areas of Red Lake are under a boil water advisory.
Red Lake municipal officials issued an alert Tuesday morning, saying the Cochenour, McMarmac and McKenzie Island locations have been affected.
The alert said an automation equipment failure has meant that the safety of the water can't be guaranteed, and that any water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute if it's to be used for human consumption.
The advisory will remain in effect until a notice has been issued for it to be rescinded.
