The Boaters Code emphasizes the need to respect other vessels on the waterways and the importance of obeying all laws and regulations governing the operation of a boat.

The guide also reminds boaters of the need to ensure that they safety equipment for emergencies and   any other safety equipment needed to operate their boat safely and within the law.
