ATV driver flees police in Red Lake

Red Lake OPP arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation and flight from police.

RED LAKE – In the early morning of May 5, Red Lake OPP received a traffic complaint about an impaired all-terrain vehicle driver on Suffel Lake Road, according to OPP Northwest Region.

Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver fled from police.

Police located the driver and placed them under arrest a short time later.

As a result, a 30-year-old from Red Lake has been arrested and charged with impaired driving, fleeing from police, failing to stop at a red light, and failing to identify self.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court of Justice on July 18.
