TORONTO – An Atikokan resident is celebrating after winning $100,000 top prize with Instant Wild Card.

Alice Morton says she is a regular lottery player.

"I started playing LOTTO 6/49 21 years ago and I've recently started to enjoy INSTANT games in hopes of winning a big prize," she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Alice, a retiree, says she was at home when she noticed she was a big winner. "I saw the $100,000 prize amount and thought it was a joke," she smiled. "I got out my phone and double-checked using the OLG App. I couldn't believe it!"

Alice asked her stepdaughter to come to the store with her to verify her win.

"She started to cry and told me I deserved it. That's when this win became surreal," she said.

She plans to save some of her winnings for a girl’s trip to Las Vegas when it's safe to travel.

"We will enjoy a few days of great food, fun and laughter."

Alice added her family will have a wonderful Christmas.
