ATIKOKAN – The town of Atikokan is advising the public to drive with caution in school zones due to staffing issues with crosswalk attendants.
The municipality has released a statement on their Facebook page advising residents and parents that the crosswalk at the corner of Mercury Avenue and Hemlock Avenue may not be supervised from time to time.
In addition to reminding motorists to drive with caution, they advise reminding children on pedestrian safety while cross the street.
