ATIKOKAN — A town-wide boil water advisory that had been in effect after a culvert failure last week has been lifted.
Atikokan municipal officials on Monday confirmed the boil water advisory has been rescinded after laboratory testing found no indications of bacteria in the water.
The culvert under Mercury Avenue collapsed on May 9, washing out a 15-metre section of Mercury Avenue that also included a water line. The municipality declared a state of emergency later in the week.
