DRYDEN — "Keep on buying your tickets. Even if you don't win, the hospital always wins," Pamela Rodrigues said Saturday after being presented with both a symbolic cheque and a real cheque for just under $110,000.

She made the comment to encourage other residents of Northwestern Ontario to support the monthly 50/50 draw operated by the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation.

Rodrigues, from Fort Frances, won the grand prize in the June draw.

Proceeds from the fundraiser are used to buy hospital equipment and support health care initiatives in Dryden.

"We want to thank her for coming up here on this beautiful day. It must have been a great drive up," said Brad Coles, chair of the foundation's board.

"We appreciate your support," he told Rodrigues.

Tickets for the July draw are on sale now.
