DRYDEN — A southern Ontario woman has 109,312.50 more reasons to celebrate.

Dunja Elliott, of St. Thomas, Ont., near London, received a phone call from the Dryden Regional Health Science Foundation on Monday and found out she is the latest grand prize winner of the Dryden Regional Health Sciences Foundation's 50/50.

When Brad Coles, chair of the foundation's board, told her the news during a phone call, Elliott responded by saying, "no way."

Proceeds from the fundraiser are used to buy hospital equipment and support health care initiatives in Dryden.

In a reaction video posted to Facebook, Elliott told Coles she has been buying tickets since 2024, and was in shock to hear she had won.

Tickets for the August draw are on sale now.
