Laureate College is proud to share exciting news with our neighbours in Waterdown and surrounding communities! While we’ve been known as an international boarding school with a strong focus on STEAM and Gifted Arts programs, we are now opening our doors wider—to welcome families, children, and art lovers of all ages.
Starting this fall, we’re launching Elementary Grades 1–8 along with JK–G8 Aftercare services to support working families. Our afterschool Music and Art programs have also expanded, bringing in top-tier instructors—leaders in their fields—to offer engaging sessions in fine arts, sketching, acrylic painting, illustration, and character design. We also welcome homeschooled families to take part in these enriching programs and enjoy access to our creative spaces and specialized instructors.
Our growing music programs, led by Dr. Lina Li, Laureate College’s Co-Artistic Director of Music, offer a dynamic range of opportunities for students to explore their musical talents in a supportive, high-caliber learning environment.
For our younger artists and singers, we are thrilled to host the Burlington Children’s Choir, with programs for every age: “Little Voices” (JK–G2), “Growing Voices” (G3–G7), and “Senior Choir” (G8+). Meanwhile, adults can enjoy morning and evening studio art classes, fostering creativity and community in a relaxed setting.
We are also proud sponsors of the 2025 Waterdown Farmers’ Market, where we invite children to share a fun and creative time with Prof. Ixchel Suarez, our Co-Artistic Director of Visual Arts and community engagement lead. Families will also have a chance to meet Mr. Hamilton, our new Elementary School Principal.
Our vibrant campus continues to be a cultural hub with seasonal concerts, community art exhibitions, and open galleries that showcase local, national, and international artists throughout the year.
At Laureate College, we believe in the transformative power of education and the arts. We’re excited to extend that mission beyond our campus—offering enriching experiences and new opportunities for all.
Come see what’s growing at Laureate.
Together, let’s build a more creative, connected, and inspired community.
