NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – The Northwestern Health Unit is reminding residents free rapid test kits are available in the region.

Health officials say rapid antigen tests are easy to use tests that detect certain proteins in the virus to confirm the presence

Results can be available in as little as 15 minutes.

Earlier this year, the province started to distribute rapid antigen tests through pharmacies and grocery stores for at home use, so if you aren’t certain where to pick up a test, check the province’s website.
